Why We're Creating Wildermoth
The outdoor industry has long told us that adventure looks a certain way—earth-toned, neon-accented, streamlined for performance but not for personality. If you don’t see yourself in khaki or camouflage, if bright color blocking makes you wilt a little inside, you might’ve felt like you had to choose between gear that works and gear that feels like you.
We didn’t want to choose anymore.
Wildermoth Outfitters was born from the belief that self-expression and functionality shouldn’t be at odds. That the trail doesn’t care what you wear, but you might—and that matters. We’re here for the ones who hike in black, for the forest witches, the dark romantics, the granola goths, and the quiet wanderers who want to feel seen in the places they feel most alive.
We want to make performance gear that fits your body and your aesthetic—pieces you’ll reach for again and again because they feel like a second skin, whether you’re deep in the woods or walking through town.
We didn’t see anything like that in the outdoor world. So we’re building it—slowly, intentionally, and with reverence.
Our first product is a hiking hat that blends a classic boonie silhouette with a subtle witchy twist: moon phase venting, practical details, and a design that turns heads while keeping yours dry. It’s just the beginning, but it carries our whole philosophy: gear that works and speaks to your spirit.
There’s no one way to roam.
There’s no one way to be an adventurer.
There’s no one right way to be you.
We're here to prove that the strange belong in the wild, too.
And we’re so glad you found your way here.
